About RebelYell Motorsports

RebelYell Motorsports was formed in early 2001 by two college seniors who had a dream to go stock car racing. Nick Kocuba and Mark Rozum bought their first old Monte Carlo in December of 2001, and from there began construction of their first dirt pure stock. The car was soon finished, and hit the track for the first time in July of 2002, with Nick behind the wheel. Nick and Mark shared the driving throughout the rest of that 2002 season at Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway.

In 2003, Nick took over the driving duties full time, and the team completed their first full season of competition. In that first season, the car had to have part of the frame replaced, and endured numerous other wrecks. It was a bit of a trying season, but Nick did pick up his first top ten finish at the end of that season. After that season came to an end, Nick and the rest of the crew decided it was time to build a new car.

When 2004 started, RebelYell Motorsports came out of the gates with a new car, and a new look. The original black, orange, and blue look was traded for a brighter blue and yellow scheme on the #10 Monte Carlo. The team competed in their second full season, and was able to add four more top tens to their resume, and ventured away from home for the first time to Mercer Raceway Park for their annual "Little Guy Nationals" event in October.

2005 was a breakthrough year for Nick, as he scored his first career feature win on May 7th in just the second race of the season. Nick score 14 top-ten and 5 top-five in 19 races that season, which was good enough to finish 9th in the point standings at PPMS, as well as 9th in the points for the Pittsburgh Circle Track Club. Nick also completed every lap that was run in the 2005 season.

In 2006, Nick Kocuba and the RebelYell Motorsports team looks to add to that feature win total, and hope to make their 4th season even more successful than 2005!
